In connection with the re-opening of Villa Tugendhat, we have the following information and recommendations for you:

Villa Tugendhat remains completely closed to the public including the garden until 1 June 2020.

On 20 May 2020, at 10:00 a.m., online ticket sales will be launched at www.tugendhat.eu. Visitors are kindly requested to purchase their tickets online, as the box office at Villa Tugendhat remains closed. The following information is important in connection with the opening of online ticket sales:

  • Tickets can be purchased for dates until 31 October 2020, the following months will be open continuously (see the Visit the Villa section – question no. 5.)
  • Free tour dates will be available as follows:
June – free tour dates are available for individuals, especially on weekdays.
July and August – numerous free dates in the period from 14 July to 9 August, due to the operational transfer of regular maintenance of the building to the spring months.
September and October – numerous free dates on weekdays and weekends
  • Additional cultural events (i.e. lectures, concerts, educational programmes, etc.) are suspended at least until the end of June.
  • We would like to remind all foreign visitors that requests for a refund of entrance fees can be sent no later than 5 working days before the schedule tour. It is not possible to return the entrance fee after this deadline.

From 1 June 2020, it will be possible to purchase tickets until the end of November 2020. The reservation system will thus return to the normal mode, which is described in more detail in the Visit the Villa section (Question No. 5).

Villa Tugendhat will be open to the public from 2 June 2020. The opening includes the garden, exhibitions on the technical floor and sightseeing tours. From this date, a new entrance to the garden of Villa Tugendhat will be opened from the garden of Villa Löw-Beer.

The tickets for tours in June, July and August, which were bought before March 12 2020 are still valid.
