THE FILM THE FATE OF TUGENDHAT WON AN AWARD AT THE ARTS & FILM EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL IN TELČ

The 9th European Film Festival of films about art, ARTS & FILM Telč, which was attended by 32 countries with 168 films and was held on 13 – 15 June 2013, awarded the art documentary by Rudolf Chudoba “The Fate of Tugendhat” with 1st prize in the Architecture and Design category.

The story of the famous Villa Tugendhat, its inhabitants and its two-year restoration was conceived by director Rudolf Chudoba as a docu-drama, i.e. a documentary with acted scenes. The film was made by the Brno studios of Czech TV and after a successful presentation on Czech television in September 2012 it was also introduced on 1 October 2012 as part of the presentation of Brno and Villa Tugendhat in the Czech National Hall in New York.
