On Monday 12 January 2015, the Villa Tugendhat was visited by a production team from the Brno City Theatre, which was preparing a theatre adaptation of Simon Mawer’s novel The Glass Room for a February premiere. Actors and other members of the creative team, accompanied by the director of the Brno City Museum Pavel Ciprian and Dagmar Černoušková from the Study and Documentation Centre at the Villa Tugendhat, became acquainted not only with the villa, which became the inspiration for the novel, but also the true story of its builders.
A few days later, the leading actors already in costume tried out some scene arrangements in the villa.
