On Saturday 30 August 2014 from 2 p.m., the town of Svitávka near Boskovice (about 40 km north of Brno) will be the venue of a celebration of the Löw-Beer villas, which conclude the “Low-Beer Villas” project. The event will include a professional conference with presentations by PhDr. Jaromír Hanák (Brno Museum), PhDr. Petra Svobodová (Brno Museum, Curator of the Löw-Beer Villa in Brno), Pavel Krejcar (Svitávka archivist), Ing. arch. Iveta Černá (Museum of the City of Brno, Villa Tugendhat Director), PhDr. Dagmar Černoušková (Brno City Museum, Study and Documentation Centre at Villa Tugendhat), Mgr. Vladimír Velešík and Mgr. Vladimír Velešík jun. (editors and co-authors of the book “The Löw-Beer Villas”). The ceremony will conclude with a gala launch of the book “The Löw-Beer Villas” and the premiere of the film “The Story of a Found Suitcase.”
