Christmas Film Screening: Casablanca in Villa Tugendhat

Villa Tugendhat will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List with a special film screening of the popular 1942 film Casablanca. The film screening will be preceded by a small welcome drink for all visitors, which will be served on the technical floor of the villa.

The film screening will then take place in the main living room of the villa. The film directed by Michael Curtiz and starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman takes the audience to Casablanca, Morocco during World War II, where American Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) is opening his nightclub. The guests at his establishment include anti-fascist Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid) and his wife Lisa (Ingrid Bergman). After a while, Blaine recognises his former love interest in Lisa.

The film will be screened in the original version with Czech subtitles.

A tour of the villa interior is not included in the programme.
