The main living room of Villa Tugendhat will resound with the tones of guitars on Monday 9 October, on the occasion of an extraordinary chamber concert as part of the StringArt 2017 project. Compositions by renowned Brno and Ostrava personalities such as František Chaloupka, Michal Janošík, Jarmila Mazourova, Sára Medková, Jan Novák, Miloš Štědroň and Antonín Tučapský will be heard, performed by the ensembles of the Czech Guitar Association; Duo Siempre Nuevo, Duo Nana, Duo Teres, Duo Troppau. The interval will include a wine tasting.
About the StringArt 2017 Project
A pair of StringArt 2017 concerts will be held in cooperation with the chamber ensembles of the Czech Guitar Association, z.s.. It is focused on the presentation of contemporary music by Prague, Brno and Ostrava-based composers, who have created pieces for the members of the Association during the last few years.
The concerts will be held on 9 October 2017 from 19:00 at the Villa Tugendhat in Brno and on 23 November 2017 at the Werich Villa in Prague. The music of Martin Brunner, Juraj Filas, Lukáš Hurník, Tomáš Ille, Ondřej Kukal, Jiří Lukeš and Václav Paroulek will be played at the Prague concert. The music of František Chaloupka, Michal Janošík, Markéta Mazourová, Sára Medková, Jan Novák, Miloš Štědroň and Antonín Tučapský will be performed at the Brno concert.
