FILM SCREENING GASLIGHT IN VILLA TUGENDHAT

On Thursday 28 August 2014 at 8:00 p.m. the film  Gaslight from 1944 will be screened behind the onyx wall in the main living room of the Villa Tugendhat. 

A mystery thriller with Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer in the lead roles. Young Paula Alquist marries pianist Gregory Anton and moves with him to a house where her aunt lost her life under strange circumstances. The initial cosiness of the newlyweds slowly begins to fade. Night after night Paula hears strange noises in the attic. Various objects disappear and Gregory suspects his wife of stealing and hiding them. Paula is gradually crumbling mentally. The film is based on a play „Angel Street“ by Patrick Hamilton.

The film is screened in original version with subtitles.
