The traditional film screenings series in the main living space of the Villa Tugendhat this time offers one of the classic Czech films of the 1930’s, The World Belongs To Us.
The comedy, which is an allegorical representation of the struggle of good against evil, is undoubtedly a great testament of the atmosphere in Czechoslovakia of those days. Through the comic duo portrayed by iconic Czech actors Jiří Voskovec and Jan Werich we can watch the struggle between the swindler Dexler against the workers who are led by Dexler’s former colleague Forman, charming and honest newscaster Markétka and honest director Hart. Imaginative and timeless humour is undoubtedly the best invitation to spend a pleasant evening in the unique environment of the main living space of the Villa Tugendhat.
The ticket price (Wednesday or Thursday) is 200 CZK per person.
