In addition to the standard commented tours, we offer a variety of educational programmes in the autumn of 2017 to introduce the villa, its architect and contractors to pupils and students in a way where the content and form reflects the age of the visitors. Young visitors are encouraged to actively perceive what they see and depending on the specifically selected programme also to express themselves authentically. It is an appropriate extension of lessons of art education, history and civic education.
Through object-focused learning, the pupils and students are led to critical thinking and to the inclusion of the Villa Tugendhat and its creator in domestic and international cultural contexts. The instructor tries to present this significant work of architecture to pupils and students from different perspectives, depending on the particular type of programme selected by their teacher in advance.
The author of educational programmes is Mgr. Alice Křížová Stuchlíková, Ph.D., and they are implemented by Mgr. Lucie Valuchová.
